Chair Yoga | Standing Poses

Do active vanarasana, a quick surya namaskar and flow between chair bhujangasana and ardha uttanasana. You'll improve your balance and core strength twisting and balancing while using a chair in new and unique standing poses. Class will end with a deep supported backbend in chair viparita dandasana and then shavasana.

Working Toward Urdhva Dhanurasana | Week 5

Prepare your body for Urdhva Dhanurasana by opening your shoulders, spine and hip flexors. Warm up with Surya Namaskar, Uttanasana, Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (upward facing dog) to Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward facing dog), shoulder strengthening, Shalabhasana and Purvottanasana. Complete the class by moving into the full backbend!

Working Toward Urdhva Dhanurasana | Week 4

Warm up with Surya Namaskar, Shirshasana and then work in supported Setu Bandha Sarvangasana on a brick to open your hip flexors. Then open your upper back, shoulders and low back with supported backbends over blocks before going up into Urdhva Dhanurasana with a brick under your sacrum.
